Marking is done ... Welcome Christmas Season and New Year 2010!

Marking is finally done. Glad to have some time off. Glad it's Christmas week, and glad New Year 2010 is just peeking around the corner.

Leading worship this Sunday, 27th Dec. Last worship service of the year. Lord, plant something in my heart for the coming Sunday. Where do You want to take us? Open our eyes and ears, Lord.

Dinner with Pa ... assignments, exams, marking ... 2012 movie ... the weekend ...

It's assignment marking season again. Assignments are beginning to flood in for all 3 classes. Will be busy over the weekend and next 2 weeks. Need to replace Andrea this Sunday for worship leading because her dad is in the hospital. Gotta keep Uncle Kingsley in prayer. Lord, sustain and heal him. His blood pressure shot up to a dangerous level.

Anyway, dinner with dad on Wednesday the 11th was good. It was his birthday. He seems to be in a lighter mood these days, like he's let go of some things. I still sense the fire to do business in him, but it's calmer. Something's a bit different this time round. But it was just nice to spend some time with him.

Worship practice tomorrow morning at 10.30am. Lunch with mom, and then hopefully, movie with mom. Gotta try to catch 2012 this weekend before I get too busy marking assignments and exams!

Encouragement

It's important to encourage others. And receive encouragement.

Not talking about the "you can do it" pat-on-the-back thing. More than that. Something from the heart. Something you give sincerely. Something that gives strength, hope, some energy, some faith. Some push to keep pressing on.

Glad someone called me this morning, gave a push, and I'm glad I said yes.

Don't forget to encourage someone. Life can be discouraging enough as it is, the world the way it is. We don't need to add  unnecessarily to the discouragement. Go, and give. Impart hope.
